This new attraction will be open to the public from The Battery Atlanta. This fresh, family-friendly space is designed to welcome fans on game days and provide a fun and safe place to visit any day of the week.
So what’s new? First, this new park is a significant upgrade from the previous family area, Hope and Will’s Sandlot. The new space is more than twice the size of the old area and spans over 30,000 square feet, which means it’s ready to accommodate many more families than ever before. And they’re not skimping on the features, either!
The redesigned kids’ zone now includes a rock climbing tower and interactive play experiences offering entertainment at Truist Park. Plus, kids can look forward to BLOOPER’s Clubhouse, where they’ll have the chance to meet the Braves mascot, Blooper, and snap a photo with him—a memory to treasure for any young fan.
Linda Matzigkeit, the Chief Administrative Officer of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, highlighted the purpose behind this project, sharing that Children’s Healthcare is about more than medical care. “The new Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Park provides a great opportunity for us to deliver on that commitment to be a part of kids’ lives – both when they are sick and when they are healthy,” she noted, emphasizing the organization’s focus on enriching children’s lives across the community.

They’ve also added more seating, shaded spots to keep cool in the summer, and convenient restrooms—details that make the park more accessible and comfortable for everyone.
