Model Josie Canseco is fueling speculation about another change in her love life after apparently erasing signs of her relationship with Atlanta Braves pitcher AJ Smith-Shawver.
Canseco, 29, dated Smith-Shawver for more than a year, but their social media accounts now tell a very different story. According to the New York Post, Canseco has removed photos of the MLB pitcher from her Instagram account and no longer follows him there.
Smith-Shawver appears to have done the same, wiping references to Canseco from his own profile.
Neither has publicly announced a breakup, so their relationship status remains unconfirmed. Still, the simultaneous social media cleanup has generated speculation that the couple has gone their separate ways.
Smith-Shawver Returns to the Mound For The Braves
Another noticeable detail emerged this week. Smith-Shawver returned to the mound for the Braves on Wednesday, making just his second appearance of the season following Tommy John surgery. Canseco did not publicly acknowledge the outing on her social media.
The two began dating in 2025 and eventually marked their first anniversary with an affectionate Instagram post featuring several photos together.
“A year with you,” Canseco wrote in the caption. “How’d I get so lucky?”
That post has since been deleted.
The missing anniversary tribute adds another piece to the breakup speculation, particularly after both Canseco and Smith-Shawver apparently removed traces of each other from their accounts.
Her Romance With Johnny Manziel Also Made Headlines
Canseco, the daughter of former MLB slugger Jose Canseco, has previously had several high-profile relationships. Before Smith-Shawver, she dated former college football star and Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel.
That relationship drew considerable attention in 2024 when Canseco posted a video showing the couple together in a bathtub as part of a birthday tribute to Manziel, who was turning 32.
“A love like you. My best friend and my forever,” she wrote at the time. “I’m so proud of the man you’ve grown into. You are the kindest heart I’ve ever met. How’d I get so lucky. Happy birthday, my baby.”
Despite the affectionate public message, the relationship ended only a couple of months later. TMZ reported that there was “no bad blood” between the two, while also reporting that Manziel “had some work to do on himself.”
Manziel has spoken publicly about his past struggles with depression and substance abuse.
Canseco and Manziel had been together for nearly a year. They publicly confirmed their relationship in April 2024 after appearing together at the Stagecoach music festival.

Canseco’s dating history has also included YouTuber-turned-boxer Logan Paul and reality television personality Brody Jenner.
Her latest relationship once seemed strong enough for Canseco and Smith-Shawver to publicly celebrate a full year together. Now, that anniversary post is gone, the photos have disappeared, and they reportedly no longer follow each other.
For now, Canseco and Smith-Shawver have not publicly explained why their photos disappeared or confirmed that their relationship has ended. Until either one addresses the situation, the apparent social media purge remains the clearest indication that something between them may have changed.
