The awards season is in full swing, and with Major League Baseball’s biggest honors coming up, the Atlanta Braves have several players who could find themselves among the year’s award winners. From MVPs to Cy Young contenders, let’s break down the upcoming dates and awards where Braves players have a real shot at making history.

Hank Aaron Award, All-MLB, Reliever of the Year, Comeback Player of the Year, and Outstanding Designated Hitter – November 14th

Hank Aaron Award, All-MLB, Reliever of the Year, Comeback Player of the Year, and Outstanding Designated Hitter

    Hank Aaron Award

The Braves have a real contender here, Marcell Ozuna, who was nominated for the Hank Aaron Award. Named after Braves legend Hank Aaron, this award honors top offensive players across both leagues. While Ozuna’s power has been undeniable, he faces stiff competition from other offensive juggernauts.

    All-MLB First and Second Teams

Fans have plenty to look forward to with five Braves players in the mix. First baseman Matt Olson, who led the league in home runs, and DH Marcell Ozuna are two Braves whose performances make them strong contenders. Meanwhile, starting pitchers Chris Sale and Reynaldo López, alongside closer Raisel Iglesias, will also be vying for spots on the All-MLB teams. Given the season they had, especially Iglesias with a stunning 1.95 ERA, they’re strong contenders.

    Comeback Player of the Year

Chris Sale, known for his dominance on the mound, has already bagged Comeback Player of the Year honors from both the Players Choice Awards and Sporting News. He’s a strong candidate to sweep this category after a stellar season that has fans excited to see if he can complete the trifecta.

    Reliever of the Year

Regarding stellar pitching, Raisel Iglesias has had a remarkable season in the bullpen. With a 1.95 ERA and a 30-game scoreless streak, he’s a powerful nominee for Reliever of the Year. If any Braves pitcher has earned this honor, it’s Iglesias.

    Outstanding Designated Hitter Award

Though Shohei Ohtani is the likely front-runner, Marcell Ozuna’s production as a designated hitter still makes him one to watch in this category.

    Silver Slugger – November 17th

The Silver Slugger Award recognizes the best offensive players at each position, and Marcell Ozuna is once again a finalist. Going up against Shohei Ohtani is no easy task. But with his power and consistency at the plate, Ozuna’s inclusion as a finalist is well-earned.

Rookie of the Year – November 18th

With finalists yet to be announced, Braves fans will be keeping an eye on this date. While Spencer Schwellenbach showed promise on the mound, the National League Rookie of the Year race is tough. It’s featuring names like Jackson Merrill from the Padres and Paul Skenes from the Pirates. Though Schwellenbach is up against stiff competition, he could still pull off a surprise.

Manager of the Year – November 19th

Braves skipper Brian Snitker may not be the favorite for Manager of the Year this season, but the Braves’ impressive run is reason enough to keep this date on the radar.

Cy Young Award – November 20th

This could be a historic day for Braves fans. Chris Sale is widely seen as the leading candidate for the NL Cy Young Award, and for good reason. With 18 wins, a 2.35 ERA, and 225 strikeouts, Sale claimed the Triple Crown in pitching, a rare feat last accomplished in the National League in 2011. His peers clearly admire his work, as evidenced by his Outstanding Pitcher of the Year win at the Players Choice Awards. It’s up to the writers to cement his legacy with a Cy Young.

Most Valuable Player – November 21st

Though Marcell Ozuna had a tremendous season, a late-season slump might keep him from a higher finish in the MVP race. Still, if he is announced as a finalist, he’ll likely finish behind Shohei Ohtani and Francisco Lindor. But even a third-place finish would be an impressive achievement for Ozuna and cap off a strong year.

Wrapping Up On Potential Braves Awards

November is packed with opportunities for the Braves to add to their award-winning history. With a lineup featuring powerhouse offensive and pitching talent, this could be a rewarding season’s end for Braves fans. Whether it’s Sale claiming the Cy Young, Ozuna making a run at multiple offensive awards, or Iglesias locking down Reliever of the Year, the Braves have players in the mix for nearly every major honor this awards season.
