Braves Country, the 2026 MLB schedule just dropped, and it’s time to start circling dates. Sure, we’re still a long way from first pitch, and yes, Spring Training schedules haven’t even been posted yet, but for fans in Atlanta, this is the kind of roadmap you want to have handy when planning weekends, road trips, and maybe even those all-important summer holidays.

Let’s start at the beginning. Opening Day at Truist Park is set for Thursday, March 26, with the Kansas City Royals coming to town. After an off day on Friday, the series resumes Saturday and Sunday before the Oakland A’s roll in for three (March 30–April 1). Interleague action is heavy early, with the Atlanta Braves seeing the Angels, Guardians, and Tigers before the first month is even out. If you like the AL-NL crossover games, April is going to be a treat.

Braves Division Battles

Division play kicks in mid-April when the Marlins arrive (April 13–15), followed quickly by a gauntlet of Phillies and Nationals matchups. In fact, by the end of April, Atlanta will have already seen three of its four NL East rivals. The only one missing? The Mets — and that first showdown won’t come until June 12 in New York. But circle July 4th weekend, because that’s when the Mets come to Truist Park for the first time in 2026. Fireworks guaranteed.

Holiday Games

The Braves are also nicely positioned for some holiday baseball at home. Memorial Day weekend (May 22–24) brings the Nationals, and while there’s no game on Monday itself, it’s still a chance to celebrate in the ballpark. Father’s Day weekend (June 19–21) is also at home, giving dads a pretty perfect excuse to catch a game.

Big Non-Division Series

And let’s not forget some of the marquee series outside the division. The Red Sox visit May 15–17 as part of the Braves’ designated rivalry. The Dodgers — and yes, Freddie Freeman — return to Atlanta August 25–27, always a must-watch series. The Rangers, Rays, and Blue Jays are also on the home interleague slate, keeping the matchups fresh.

The season winds down with the Braves’ final homestand against the Reds (Sept. 22–24) before finishing on the road at Miami (Sept. 25–27). And of course, everyone will be watching Philadelphia in mid-July as the All-Star Game and Home Run Derby take over Citizens Bank Park (July 13–14).

This 2026 schedule has all the makings of a year filled with storylines, rivalries, and plenty of dates worth saving. Braves fans, your calendar is officially full.
