Major League Baseball has announced that three of its top players will be stepping into the media spotlight as correspondents for the MLB channels during the World Series. The All-Star trio includes Brent Rooker, Ozzie Albies, and Luis Arraez. Honestly, who better to give the play-by-play insight than these three?

Let’s talk about Brent Rooker first. At just 29 years old, he’s already built a rep as one of the most powerful hitters in the game. The Athletics’ slugger is coming off a season where he hit an impressive .293, hammered 39 home runs, and knocked in 112 RBI. It’s safe to say Rooker is the kind of guy who makes pitchers nervous and with good reason.

He’s already been with a handful of teams (Twins, Padres, Royals, and A’s), racking up a solid .258 career batting average, 79 home runs, and 204 RBI along the way. But it was his 2023 All-Star season that really put him on the map, with a memorable 30-homer, 69-RBI performance. And with the A’s planning their move to a new stadium in Sacramento, where the air is a bit hotter, expect the ball to fly off his bat even more come 2025. But for now, he’s all set to bring some big-time analysis to the World Series.

Next, we’ve got Ozzie Albies of the Atlanta Braves. At 27, Albies has already helped lead his team to a World Series title back in 2021, and he’s no stranger to the spotlight with three All-Star appearances and two Silver Slugger Awards under his belt.

This past season was a bit of a challenge for him due to injuries, which limited him to just 99 games, but he still managed to put up 10 homers and 53 RBI while batting .251. Albies has established himself as a consistent bat with a .270 career average and muiltiple 30 homerun campaigns over his eight seasons with the Braves. Albies is sure to bring some serious credibility to the coverage with all that experience and a championship ring to his name.

And rounding out the trio is none other than Luis Arraez, the batting wizard himself. At 27, Arraez has already claimed three straight batting titles and just helped the Padres advance to the NLDS, proving once again why he’s one of the most consistent hitters in the league. This season, he batted .314, clocked 200 hits, and even sprinkled in four homers and 46 RBI for good measure.

He’s played for the Twins, Marlins, and Padres, and with three All-Star selections under his belt, he’s the kind of guy who knows how to adjust his swing in any situation. Expect Arraez to offer plenty of insight into what it takes to stay cool and consistent in high-pressure games.

The Yankees and Dodgers will kick things off Friday night. Fans can expect a whole new level of insight into every pitch, swing, and play with these three guys providing the analysis.
