Jurickson Profar didn’t just return to the Atlanta Braves lineup—he reintroduced himself with authority in a blowout win over the Angels. After completing an 80-game suspension for PEDs, Profar wasted no time showing he’s ready to contribute. In the bottom of the seventh inning, he launched a towering solo bomb, barely staying in. This pushed the Braves’ lead to 8-2 over the Los Angeles Angels.

This wasn’t just any home run; it had drama, distance, and the kind of timing that turns heads. For a player trying to reset the narrative, this was as strong a start as he could have scripted.

Profar’s impact wasn’t limited to one at bat either. With two outs in the sixth, he kept the Braves’ hopes alive with a clutch single. This opened the door for Sean Murphy to blast a three-run homer, sparking a seven-run avalanche. He’d go on to record two hits, two runs scored, and an RBI in a stellar first game back.

His rhythm at the plate was in proper mid-season form, as if he hadn’t missed a game. If anything, it looked like he picked up right where he left off in Triple-A.

Before being activated, Profar played 13 games with Triple-A Gwinnett, where he hit .333 with a .990 OPS. He slugged three home runs, drove in nine RBIs, and finished on a tear, batting .375 with a .687 slugging percentage over his final five games. That hot streak seems to have made the trip with him to Atlanta.

For the Braves, his bat adds even more depth to an already potent lineup. And for Profar? It’s a golden opportunity for his performance to drown out the noise of his suspension. So far, he’s doing just that.
