Gather around because we’ve got some fresh Atlanta Braves uniform news coming.

The Braves will change their caps significantly in 2025 to celebrate hosting the All-Star Game, and thanks to Uni-Watch, we’ve finally gotten a glimpse of what’s in store.

But that’s not all—the Braves might also be making a surprising shift in their road uniform tradition.

A Commemorative Cap, But No Sleeve Patch?

First up, let’s talk about that All-Star Game patch. If you caught the first MLB The Show 25 trailer, you might’ve already seen it in action.

The patch is essentially the same All-Star Game logo that was revealed last summer—minus the MasterCard branding. In 2021, the Braves were originally set to host the Midsummer Classic and had both a cap and jersey patch.

This time around, the team appears to be skipping the sleeve patch altogether. So, if you were hoping for some extra flair on the jersey, you’re out of luck—it looks like the cap is the lone representative of this special occasion.

Interestingly, it also seems like the Braves’ City Connect cap won’t be getting the All-Star treatment. If you were planning to grab a special edition City Connect lid with the patch, you might be waiting a while (or forever).

Now, here’s where things get really interesting. According to Uni-Watch, the Braves may permanently switch to their red-brimmed cap on the road.

Since 2009, the Braves have followed a pretty strict rule regarding their hats: red-brimmed caps at home and solid navy caps on the road. The only exception?

There was a brief three-game series in 2017 against the Oakland A’s when they brought back the navy-and-red cap for road use. But if the leaked style guide is to be believed, that divide might be coming to an end.

Does this mean the all-navy cap is gone for good? Uni-Watch didn’t specify, so it’s still unclear whether it’ll be retired entirely or remain as an alternate option.

Either way, the red-brimmed cap will get a lot more mileage out of Truist Park.

Braves Are Tweaking More Than Just Their Caps

Oh, and this isn’t the only uniform-related update from the Braves lately. Fans noticed a subtle tweak to the team’s navy alternate jerseys when spring training kicked off.

They’re darker than last year’s version. It’s a minor adjustment, but even small changes tend to stand out for a team that has largely stuck to tradition.

So, what do you think? Are you on board with the red-brimmed cap hitting the road full-time, or are you hoping the solid navy option sticks around?

One thing’s certain: when the All-Star Game rolls into Atlanta, the Braves will look sharp.
