Fresh off a 44-home-run season, Anthony Santander remains one of the most dangerous bats available in MLB free agency.
His power from both sides of the plate makes him a rare commodity, yet his market has been slow to develop.
MLB Teams Interested in Anthony Santander
The Blue Jays have been linked to Santander throughout the offseason, and the fit is obvious.
With a critical 2025 season ahead—featuring expiring contracts for Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Bo Bichette, and Chris Bassitt—Toronto needs to add firepower to its lineup. Santander would give them a much-needed offensive boost while also protecting Guerrero and Bichette.
The Red Sox, Yankees, Angels, and Tigers have also been connected to Santander. His reported asking price—a five-year, $100 million deal—is reasonable for a player of his caliber, though his below-average defense may be giving some teams pause.
Still, his ability to change a game with one swing makes him an asset any contending team would love to have.
Expect Santander’s market to gain clarity as other free agents come off the board. His power and postseason experience will likely land him a lucrative deal before Spring Training.
