Spring Training in the MLB is off and running, plenty of moves have been made this offseason, and it’s a good time to jump into a top 10.

Today, let’s go over the best offenses in Major League Baseball heading into the 2025 season.

Now, these rankings are subjective. We’ll factor in last season’s numbers, but rosters have shifted, young stars are developing, and a few surprise names always breakthrough.

Just look at last year’s Arizona Diamondbacks. They led the majors in runs scored even with Corbin Carroll putting up a miserable first half.

And they didn’t just sneak by; they outpaced the second-place Dodgers by 44 runs. Baseball is unpredictable, but that’s why we love it.

So, who’s bringing the firepower in 2025? Let’s break it down.

10. Chicago Cubs

10. Chicago Cubs

Surprised? Don’t be. The Cubs finished 12th in runs last season despite some major struggles from key players.

Dansby Swanson had a brutal start, and third base was a black hole for most of the year. But the big change was swapping Cody Bellinger for Kyle Tucker.

Tucker posted a ridiculous 181 OPS+ in 2024 before injuries cut his season short. He’s a massive upgrade, even if he just puts up his 2023 numbers (.284/.369/.517).

With Ian Happ, Tucker, and Seiya Suzuki leading the charge, this lineup could be dangerous—especially if rookie Matt Shaw steps up at third.

9. Arizona Diamondbacks

9. Arizona Diamondbacks

The D-backs led the league in runs last season, but they’ve got some question marks heading into 2025.

Losing Joc Pederson and Christian Walker hurts, but Josh Naylor should provide a similar production level at first base.

What is the real reason they stay in the top 10? Corbin Carroll’s second half. After a disastrous start, he slashed .259/.351/.568 post-All-Star break, looking every bit the superstar we expected.

Add in Ketel Marte, Eugenio Suárez, and a potential breakout from catcher Gabriel Moreno, and this offense is still potent.

8. Boston Red Sox

8. Boston Red Sox

The Sox finished ninth in runs last year, and they’re looking even better in 2025.

Jarren Duran emerged as an all-around threat, Rafael Devers remains a star, and Wilyer Abreu is a prime breakout candidate. But the real excitement? A full season of Trevor Story and the addition of Alex Bregman.

That’s a serious power boost, helping offset the loss of Tyler O’Neill’s 31 home runs. There’s also plenty of speed here—Duran alone swiped 34 bags last season.

7. Texas Rangers

7. Texas Rangers

The defending champs from 2023 took a major step back in 2024, finishing 18th in runs. But let’s be honest, a lot went wrong.

Marcus Semien struggled, Evan Carter’s season was a wash, and injuries kept Josh Jung sidelined. Expect a bounce-back year.

Add in newcomers Joc Pederson (who crushes right-handed pitching) and Jake Burger (29 homers last year), and suddenly this offense looks dangerous again. Oh, and Corey Seager is still an MVP-level bat.

6. Baltimore Orioles

6. Baltimore Orioles

Fourth in runs last year, and they might be better in 2025. How? Adley Rutschman won’t hit .207 in the second half again.

Jordan Westburg was breaking out before injuries hit, and Jackson Holliday—one of baseball’s most talented young players—is primed for improvement after a rocky debut.

Losing Anthony Santander stings, but they brought in Tyler O’Neill, who smashed 31 homers in 411 at-bats last season.

And, of course, Gunnar Henderson remains the heart of this offense, entering his age-24 season as a legitimate superstar.

5. Philadelphia Phillies

5. Philadelphia Phillies

Power? Check. Speed? Check. Consistency? But that’s the Phillies for you.

Bryce Harper is still Bryce Harper, Trea Turner remains one of the most electric players in the league, and Kyle Schwarber will continue launching moonshots.

The key here is whether Nick Castellanos, Alec Bohm, and Bryson Stott can find consistency. If they do, this offense stays top five in MLB.

4. New York Yankees

4. New York Yankees

The Yankees finished third in runs last year but lost Juan Soto—a major blow.

However, they’ve reloaded with Jazz Chisholm Jr., Cody Bellinger, and Paul Goldschmidt (who could have a bounce-back year left in him). Aaron Judge, when healthy, is still one of the most dominant hitters in MLB.

Anthony Volpe and Austin Wells are breakout candidates, and Jasson Domínguez is an X-factor in left field. They don’t have Soto anymore, but this lineup is more balanced.

3. New York Mets

3. New York Mets

The Mets were seventh in runs last season and added Juan Soto. Yeah, that helps.

Francisco Lindor was an MVP runner-up, Pete Alonso is about to become the franchise’s all-time home run leader, and Mark Vientos slugged .516 with 27 homers in just 413 at-bats.

There’s also sneaky depth here—Francisco Alvarez could break out, and the Jesse Winker/Starling Marte platoon is quietly excellent. This team is stacked offensively.

2. Atlanta Braves

2. Atlanta Braves

If you just look at last year’s numbers, 15th in runs scored doesn’t scream “top offense.” But let’s be real—this team is better than that.

Ronald Acuña Jr. is coming back, and even if he starts slow, he’s still one of the best hitters in the game. Matt Olson, Austin Riley, Michael Harris II, and Ozzie Albies all took steps back in 2024, but we know what they’re capable of.

Add Jurickson Profar as a solid depth piece, and the Braves should return to wrecking pitching staffs in 2025.

1. Los Angeles Dodgers

1. Los Angeles Dodgers

Was there really any other choice? Shohei Ohtani. Mookie Betts. Freddie Freeman. Ridiculous. They also get a full season from Max Muncy and Will Smith, both of whom missed time last year.

Add in a deep bench, the potential emergence of Tommy Edman, and the fact that they seem to always be in the top 3 in runs scored, and yeah—the Dodgers are still that team.

This is the safest bet if you had to pick just one MLB team to score the most runs.

Baseball is unpredictable, but these 10 teams have the firepower to light up the scoreboard in 2025. Of course, surprises will happen—just ask last year’s Diamondbacks.

But heading into the MLB season? This is where the offensive firepower lies.
